Thales, Anaximander, Anaximenes, Hericlitus, Plato, Aristotle... the foundation of Western metaphyics... I didn't mention Parmenides, but his notion that "Thinking is Being" certainly helped Plato and Aristotle out, as well (not to mention the rest of the history of Western thought).
